I have not written in a long time so I just want to check in. I hate to say it but I have just been totally overwhelmed. Too much going on!
I don't really have anything I want to say so I will just go with my calendar.
"There is a big difference between thinking and obsessing.......
Thinking is a constructive process. It's taking you somewhere, and you are making progress. Thinking has a sense of direction that guides you closer to where you would like to end up. Obsessing, on the other hand, is like running on a hamster wheel. You are spending energy like you're really going somewhere, but in reality it's not possible. Obsessing is circular. It will take your energy and wear out, but you will never end up any closer to a solution." Nicole Johnson
Lord, please help us to overcome obsessing and be guided in our thinking by You. Please, help us to stay focused and directed in our thoughts!!!
Pray! Pray! Pray! And we'll get through it! God is keeping us!
Bethany needs prayer. Please pray that God keep the boys under His wing and only what is best for them will come to be.
Amen. I enjoyed our time together, yesterday, you being here made the class more fun for me.
ReplyDeleteI was glad to pick you up. I asked Jennifer, too but she said she would just take the car. She knew more of the folks there than I did.
I am praying for Bethany. I still feel like everything will be ok in the end, but sometimes the journey is rugged
Zita, I pray for you, the boys, and Beth all the time. It is all I know to do. I also pray that you will be in peace.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry you are overwhelmed..so much is going on these days..so much!
I can say a huge "Amen" to the Obsessing quote. It wears you completely out, and the biggest reason is because you can't stop it. Even when you know you're being unreasonable. The belief that the obsesser is unaware of how illogical they're being is a myth. At least most of the time. This actually makes it worse, because you know you're not making sense, you just can't stop it. :(
ReplyDeleteYes, Norma, I knew Nancy's family from my hair salon days. She was one of my regular customers, along with two of her sisters, her two daughters, and her son-in-law. They're a nice family.
