Slowly, Surely (I Hope)

LOL!!  This is about my house renovations.  I do a little something about every week or two but maybe it will all eventually be.  I am very proud and excited about each step.

Love having my new stove with clean paint behind it. (guess I should really clean out the cabinets and decorate the walls?)  Thank you, Norma.
Cleaned up the overflow from working on the middle room out of my bedroom so that I could set up my new sewing machine Norma gave me.  Love it.  (Should I clean off the dresser, too.  And maybe decorate a little?)
Got the furniture and bed set up in my extra room.  Norma gave me her green and black set, including a new bed when she got her new one.  Love it!!  ( And yes, should I decorate and fix new curtains?)  I did put a green printed quilt on the bed.  Yeah me!
Love my newly painted blue room.  Heading for the boys play room.  (Paint the shelves and decorate.  Okay one day I will!)
Norma gave me her sofa, too.  I really love the greens and pinks with my pink carpet.  Also it is not as big as my old one so looks better in my small living room.

Enough!  You get the picture.  I am excited about it ALLL!  Got low energy and much leg pain and maybe a little bit of lazy but who knows....... One day I will be through and have a nice, cozy house to live in!!

I praise God and pray blessings on all who have helped me and will continue to the finish.

Keep me in your prayers.  This has been a rough year at work and at home!  But God is faithful and in control.  Remember the boys as well.  Pray all desicions made is in the very best interest of my boys!!  Bethany needs much prayer as well.  Pray for her a job and right choices for her life.

Love to you all.  God bless.

God is STILL Good.

Been a long time since I posted.  Sorry I am so lax.  I really enjoy reading other people's blogs so I know I should write more myself.

The boys are taking a nap and I wanted to post and show my new stove Norma gave me but alas I cannot figure out how to post the pics.  Since I last posted a pic, Bethany changed my computer to the one Norma gave me and it loads everything onto the Kodak software and I can't seem to figure out how to get it to upload for my blog.

Love the stove thought.  It is white with gray thingies that you cook on.  (not a technical term but the best I can do.)  Got rid of the old nasty vent a hood that I could not get clean so it looks so much nicer and cleaner.  God bless Norma.

A lot of things have been done around here and I love it!!  There are lots more to do though.  Wish I had more energy and less pain after work!!

Enough of all that.  God is good and I pray God bless you all with an abundance of peace and good health!!!!

Faith Of The Heart

I  have been watching episodes of Star Trek Enterprise on netflix and this song just stick with me.  I really feel it has great spiritual meaning.  You might want to listen to it on youtube.  I like the Russel Watson version found under Star Trek Enterprise Theme Song.

This is the theme song to Star Trek Enterprise and it is really awesome.

Apply it to our faith and belief in the power of the almighty God and it takes on such good meaning and is very uplifting.

Faith Of The Heart lyrics

It's been a long road
Getting from there to here
It's been a long time
But my time is finally near

And I can feel the change in the wind right now
Nothings in my way
And they're not gonna hold me down no more
No they're not gonna hold me down

'Cause I've got faith of the heart
I'm going where my heart will take me
I've got faith to believe
I can do anything
I've got strength of the soul
And no one's gonna bend or break me
I can reach any star
I've got faith, I’ve got faith, faith of the heart

It's been a long night
Trying to find my way
Been through the darkness
Now I've finally had my day

And I will see my dream come alive at last
I will touch the sky
And they're not gonna hold me down no more
No they're not gonna change my mind

'Cause I've got faith of the heart
I'm going where my heart will take me
I've got faith to believe
I can do anything
I've got strength of the soul
And no one's gonna bend or break me
I can reach any star
I've got faith, I’ve got faith, faith of the heart

I know that we're so cold
We've seen the darkest days
But now the winds I feel
Are only winds of change
I've been through the fire
I've been through the rain
But I'll be flying, oh yeah

'Cause I've got faith of the heart
I'm going where my heart will take me
I've got faith to believe
I can do anything
I've got strength of the soul
And no one's gonna bend or break me
I can reach any star
I've got faith, I’ve got faith, faith of the heart

God is good and in Him lies ALL my faith.  Thank, you God, for Your faithfulness and for Your strength that carries me through here in this life.  I love You!!!

Speak To The Wind

Peace Speaker
It was such a lovely day  the sun was shinning
bright
The gentle winds was blowin my way, not a storm cloud
in sight
Then suddenly without a warming, a storm surrounded my
life
But even in the storm, I can feel the calm, and here´s
the reason why

CHORUS
I know the Peace speaker, I know Him by my name
I know the Peace speaker, He controls the winds and
rain
When He says "peace, be still", they have to obey
I´m glad I know the Peace speaker, yes I know Him by
name

There´s never been another man with the power of this
friend
By simply saying "peace, be still" He can calm the
strongest wind
That's why I never worry when storm clouds come my way
I know that He is here to drive away my fear, and I
can smile and say

REPEAT CHORUS

Peace, peace, wonderful peace. Coming down from the
Father above

REPEAT CHORUS

Only He can calm the storms that rage in our heart s and minds.

Heavenly Father, please speak the word and cause the calm that only You can give to reign in our hearts.  In Jesus Name I pray.  Amen.

Just Call On HIM

HE'LL CALM YOUR STORMS

Phil Driscoll / Jimmy Swaggert

I was out on the high seas
One peaceful, peaceful night.
We were all (a) sailing
Everything seemed oh, alright.
When all of a sudden now
Oh the storm clouds were gathering,
The winds began to blow.

The storm was raging
I could see the waves breaking.
And I knew that my ship was about to go down
Then I looked all around me
And all my hopes were forsaken,
And I needed a miracle to save me.

Then I called on Jesus
(then I called on Jesus)
I said "Master (Master) don't You care?
Please save us."
He spoke to the storm, said "please be still"
Even the wind obeyed Him.

So just call on Jesus
Say "Master I know you care"
"Please save us"
He'll speak to the wind, "Please be still"
He'll speak to your storm.

Hush. Be still.
He'll calm your storm that's raging.

Wonderful words.  He'll calm your storm.  Been there!

God is love.  God is good.

I pray God bless one and all with comfort and peace during the midst of what ever storm you are now facing.

In You, O Lord, I put my trust......

This is a small quote about about accepting loss and grief.

.....
I believe that each of us must go through stages of relinquishment:  CHURN awhile...BURN for a time...YEARN for as long as it takes to move on... LEARN as much as you can ... and then TURN it all over to the One who cares for you.  Don't fret if you think you are not progressing or even when suddenly for no reason, you find yourself back at square one, churning just as you did at the beginning. That is normal and very typical of grief. Never forget is a grief process, and it is work!  The mending process takes time, but you are making a long journey to becoming whole again, and you have the door of hope ahead.

Hope is faith holding out its hands in the dark.   ---George Iles

God is our hope and our help in these sorrowful times.  In You, O Lord, I put my trust!!

Father, Thank You

I was so thankful to hear about Dave's good report.

Thankful for my mended roof!!
Thankful for a sister who will help me even in her time of mourning.

Sharing my calendar quote:
Father, thank You for your companionship and provision on the journey.  Grant me wisdom to be prepared and to chart my course with care.  Amen.    By Sheila Walsh

Thankful to a God who is always in control.  Even in Bethany' s situation.  At work.  Everywhere!!
